Brrrrr! Don't get me wrong, I realize its -32* in other places but waking up to 7* is not pleasant. Although it was an improvment from the 0* it was yesterday. BUT yesterday I didn't spend 20 minutes outside trying to scrape a layer of ice off my car with a squeegee. Just in case you were wondering- that doesn't work so well. I even tried using my driver's license to scrape the ice but it was too flimsy and my fingers were too cold to attempt to get a credit card out.
Anyways... after I got enough of my windows defrosted to that I could see, I drove to post to drop something off for Mickey. Luckily for me I thought to put on workout clothes so I could just go to the gym on the way home. Smart thinking I say. I thought there would have been more people at the gym but apparently everybody around here goes in the middle of the day and/or after work... Honestly, I dont think people actually go to work in this town. Everything is always crowded- even in the middle of the work day when people should be WORKING.
Speaking of working, it's been almost a week since I heard about the nanny position. She said she was still interviewing people and was trying to figure out the next step by the end of this week. So... I called the staffing company. I filled out all the application and submitted my resume online so now I just have to go in to the office and fill out a couple more pieces of paper. Can't wait around forever...
I think I'll be getting up early to go to the gym from now on. I was a good start to the day and I'm pretty sure I'll be able to fall asleep at a reasonable hour now.
