You know you've been out of Texas too long when its 40* outside and you think "Its such a nice day outside, I should take the dog to the park!" But really, it is really nice outside. :)
I can't wait til summer! Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the snow but I can't wait til bathing suit season!
Unfortunately Kentucky has no beach. Or Rodeo- not like Houston anyways. No Whataburger either. Or good Mexican food or General Tso's chicken.
Maybe when it gets warmer though we can go kayaking on the lake. And I can run again!

Gracie scared the hell out of me last night. She HATES taking her antibiotics. Its a gross liquid that I have to squirt in her mouth. She was particularly adamant about not taking it last night so I had to chase her down, which, in turn only frustrated me farther. After I caught her I wrapped my legs around her, tilted her head back and squirted it down her throat.
Well, she must've breathed in as I squirted it and inhaled some because she immediately began hacking and coughing and makining this horrible noise. Her sides were moving in and out ridiculously hard as she tried to breathe. I thought she was dying- I thought I killed her and was going to have to sit there and watch it happen. And to top it all off Mickey is at work for the night and wouldn't be home until noon the next day.
I called Katie- she knows way more about dogs than I do and worked at the vet clinic. I didn't know what else to do. I held the phone up to Grace as she was making the noise so Katie could hear- she said it sounded like a reverse sneeze. Apparently its common in little dogs but its still ridiculously scary.
She stopped doing it after about 5 minutes but she seemed pretty pissed at me for making her take it.
This morning's medicine went much better. I just squirted it at the back of her mouth and let her swallow rather than down her throat. I think that was a lot less stressful on both of us.
She's up and moving and watching tv as normal this morning so it looks like things are back to normal.

On a completely unrelated note, the animal abuse commercials with Sarah McLachlan don't make me want to adopt a dog- they make me want to punch Sarah McLachlan. That is all.
Mickey will be home in 2 hours! I've missed him so much this week.
Ciao!
